About
I’m Sean. I put this blog together to be a place where I can write random stuff that doesn’t really fit in any of my other projects, like coaching, my podcast, and other business ventures. As my friends say, I firewall and compartmentalize my life, so this is just another compartment. This is, however, the compartment for the “real” me, not the personalities or interests I have in other compartments.
If you know me, great! If you don’t know me, this site may not be too exciting. If you are a woman I have met, and you googled me, feel free to take a look around. You may be able to find a juicy detail or two. I would rather you find out about me here than by reading about my college senior project.
If you want to google me, don’t bother. All you will determine is the following:
- I graduated from Berkeley Engineering in 2002.
- I was in Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma, the National Engineering Honors Society, and Mechanical Engineering Honors Society, respectively.
- You can infer that I was good at getting good grades.
- My senior project was a mechanized fish (it didn’t really work, but I still got an A).
- I used to have a bad haircut.
- I signed a petition of engineers and architects that calls for a more thorough investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings.
- Some think I am a nut for signing this sort of petition (I’m not a conspiracy nut, I just think the investigation was insufficient).
- My California Professional Engineer registration number is M 33458.
- I am in Toastmasters.
- I played bass in a jazz trio, that trio has played at the Liberty Cafe in Bernal Heights.
- I ran the Peach Classic triathlon in Canada in 2005.
That’s pretty much it.
